Foreword -- These are simply images that are personal and
tell the viewer a little about us.
1. Bettie thinks my creative spelling on my crossword puzzle must be
funny. This is our afternoon bar date.. |
|
2. Bonnie would get a couple of laps of Bettie's
margarita and then she would sleep it offl...on Bettie's lap. |
|
3. Sometimes we will have our "bar date" on
the patio. We try to maintain some low key, laid-back atmosphere around us at home
because we have lived long enough to know just how insane the world has become...but not
necessarily at our house...in Picayune, Mississippi.
|
|
4. Bettie was very active in the SPCA here as Secretary/Treasurer
for 17 years. She has retired from that but still busy in her office. |
|
5. Twice a year she wrote and sorted ,1500 newsletters by zip
code. She enjoys her gained time now. She is finally getting to do what she
retired from the government for -- reading and self-endulgence. |
|
6. No, I do not dress like this to sit around at
home. This was a day of social experimentation and I was dressed like this all day.
I meant for the rum bottle to show but I am
surprised that the Old Miss old-fashioned glass is showing so well and to the far left is
one of my ever-present crossword puzzle books.
This home pub is in my little pride and joy. I
can't spend the time I would like in England but at least I can have an English pub at
home.
In this case, the Windmill Free House. |
|
7. Obviously posed, but this is where I am most
of the time. Bettie will be in her office and I will be in my study...with my
English dart cup. |
|
8. Our sweet Bonnie finished her long life in May, of
2015. She had the best life a little dog could have. |
|
9. Thomas Cat had come to live at our
expense as a little bitty boy and he would be using up his nine lives at one time had he
been delivered to the animal shelter. That seemed unfair for a perfectly good little
kitty...so...
|
|
10. He and Bonnie learned to get along. Thomas Cat seemed
very out-matched here but he was one self-assured little kitty. |
|
11. It didn't take long for Thomas to learn to snuggle and
even Bonnie got used to her new little brother. |
|
12. However, in early 2016 Thomas got very,
vry sick and his life was over much too soon. He and Bonnie are still missed, but. .
. but . . . |
|
13. . . .but Bettie decided in early April, 2016,
that the house seemed lonely so she negoiated with me to add some entertainment.
Bettie shopped around and found two little brothers at the shelter. Here being posed by
shelter lady. Charlie is the more open and affectionate; William is a little on the
aloof side. |
|
On Mothers' Day, Bettie decided that she would be
a mother all over again with two little (kitty) boys to look after.
