De Havillands of all sorts had this distinctive vertical tail as seen on this 1928 DH60x Moth.  Engine is 4-cylinder Cirrus Hermes.   It has been based at one airdrome longer than any airplane in aviation history.   It came to Old Warden in 1932 when it was purchased by Richard Shuttleworth.
