Fokker produce the short-coupled, little Dr.1 a year after the introduction of the Sopwith Tripe. The RAF would grow to fear this plane as much as it had Fokker's previous models, the Fokker D-7 and D-8.  This is an accurate replica that arrived for the Shuttleworth evening demonstration.  There were three tri-wings flown that afternoon: the Avro, Sophwith, & this Fokker.
